Universe, Weighting and Specifications

Explore the three sections on Index One's index builder.

Index construction is easy and straightforward with Index One. Keep reading to find out the three sections on our index builder.

Universe

The "Universe" section is where you select your securities. You can do this by playing around with our filters on the platform.

If you have a custom code or a file you would like to upload, click . You can do this on the "Weightings" section of the index builder.

Weightings

You can configure the rebalancing objectives and weighting constraints in the "Weightings" section of the index builder.

You can also upload a custom universe in this section.

Specifications

The "Specifications" section of the index builder allows you to configure index rebalancing timings, calculation parameters, index benchmarks, and corporate actions (dividends, splits).

Once you have set up your index, you can click the "Create Backtest" button to generate a backtest of your index, after which you will be able to publish a live index. Find out how you can do this .
