# Set up delivery of a tracker file or weighting file

## Step 1 - Navigate to "Streams"

Navigate to the "Streams" page on the navigation bar on the eft-hand side of the homepage.

## Step 2 - Click "Create Stream"

Click on "Create Stream"on the top-right corner of the screen.

## Step 3 - Select an index and configure delivery options

Select your index, and choose your preferred delivery, trigger and stream type.

## Step 4 - Enter email recipients and test delivery

Enter email recipients and press enter to store the email address. \

Click on "Test Delivery". If you've entered your own email address, check your inbox to see if you've received the index values in your preferred delivery method.&#x20;

Once you are happy with it, you can click "Create Stream" to save and run your stream.

### **How to read a tracker file**

The file is intended to be used for tracking changes from one time to another.

* Compare From: this is the "prior" index composition that we are using for comparison. by default this is the previous index composition.
* Compare To: this is the index composition we are comparing to. by default this is the index composition at the "current time".
* Event Time: this is the "valuation time", i.e. the time used for calculating weights.

File headers:

* All share columns indicate the number of shares held at the "compare from" and "compare to" times. "shares change" indicates the difference in the number of shares.
* All weight columns indicate the decimal weight of each security based on their valuation at the "event time". Weight change indicates the change in weight between the two events.<br>

Practical tips on how to read the file:

* if shares\_end is zero, this tells us that particular security has been removed from the index.
* if the shares\_change column is all zeroes, this indicates that there has just been a routine corporate action, with no change to any index holdings.
* if shares\_start is zero, this tells us that this security has been added to the index.
